This Nano Forum covers recent emerging area of singlewalled
carbon nanotubes for the applications to flexible transparent
conducting films and thin film transistors that have emerged
as low cost, large area alternatives to individual SWCNT devices
and have been the subject of numerous fundamental studies.
Specifically, SWCNT thin films can achieve transparency of
>80% with sheet resistance values approaching that of indium
tin oxide (ITO). In addition, thin films transistors from
SWCNTs can achieve mobilities of up to 1000 cm2/V-s with on/off
ratios of >105 The breakthroughs, issues, and the remaining
problems related to the fabrication of random networks and
device performances will be addressed from the world-leading
scientists in this Forum.
